Inspiring young people through Performing Arts
Our mission is to teach children and young adults about their Greek cultural heritage through the performing arts by combining historical and cultural significance along with technique and methodology. We believe that the experience of re-living the relevance of epochs and historically significant events creates a bond with the student that surpasses the lesson and becomes a part of their own historical relevance.
Build Confidence
One of the most important lessons that we can aspire to teach these young talents is that no part is too small. In fact, Nancy’s signature mark on her theatrical productions is the use of the “CHORUS”, a key element of Greek Classical Theatre, whereby mood, emotions, observations and premonitions are expressed either in mime or in verse. So in her teaching methodology, Nancy looks to develop in these youngsters the ability to emote, to move and to think as part of a larger entity within the confines of a group. It is here that students are able to blossom at their own pace and the transformations are remarkable. The confidence and sense accomplishment that these young performers develop is why we do what we do!
Have Fun
Although this experience should be enjoyable and fun for each of the students, there is a sense of respect and propriety that must be observed when learning the performing arts. We will spark your child’s imagination with an exciting program of singing, dancing and acting in such a way that will become second nature to them.
Sing, Dance, Act
Although prior training or abilities in dance, acting or singing are not required – that is what we are here to show them! Their abilities, whether natural or taught will quickly begin to appear and we guarantee that your child will have fun learning these key performing arts skills.
