High Park Early Learning Centre is an all inclusive licensed, not for profit childcare centre. However, the building structure is not wheelchair accessible. We welcome and Support children from all families and facilities an empathetic and nurturing environment to give every possible opportunity to the children to keep their unique identity and develop to their fullest potential. To meet all children’s needs, we seek assistance from the City’s consulting and other agencies.

The years of a child’s life are times of natural curiosity, boundless energy, and unlimited questions. Providing a rich and varied environment where children can enjoy learning through play and social interaction with their peers is very important. With this in mind, we provide the children at our centre with a variety of activities with varying degrees of structure.  Through these activities and regular individual attention, we work towards developing a healthy self-image in each of the children.

Our  program is based on a hands-on, free choice approach to learning. The room is set up to cover many interest areas (science, music, art, movement, dramatic play, fine motor / manipulative) and the children are free to choose an activity of interest to them. The monthly and weekly activity programs for children interests based on themes. Field trips are an important part of our program and we plan a number of trips every year.

Our Centre has five classrooms to meet the ever growing and changing needs of the children.

• The Infant Room: 10 children ranging in age from 4 months to 18 months
• Jr. Toddlers: 15 children ranging in age from 18 months to 2 years old
• Sr. Toddlers: 10 children ranging in age from 2 to 2.5 years old
• Jr. Preschool: 16 children ranging in age from 2.5 to 3 years old
• Sr. Preschool: 16 children ranging in age from 3 to 4 years old
